So yesterday was pretty horrible. I got the stomach flu thing that my son got. I didn't throw up at all but I also didn't have any desire to eat anything because my stomach hurt so bad. So yesterday I ate two bananas and that was about it. My husband didn't feel good either but still made dinner for the kids which was spaghetti o's and grilled cheese sandwiches which isn't the best meal but I didn't eat anything and I didn't have to cook so I can't complain. So now I am 3 pounds lighter since Thursday thanks to a day of no eating. I am sure I will gain some of that back. So now I don't have anything really to put down of what I ate yesterday. What I have really been craving is something deep fried or covered in sugar, which brings me to my healthy recipe of the day, Peanut Butter Caramel Dip. I love to eat this when I am craving something sweet and fattening, and it takes about 5 minutes to make which is awesome!!!
Peanut Butter Caramel Dip:
1/2 c All natural peanut butter with no sugar added. (I buy the Adam's brand)
up to 1/4 c pure maple syrup
2 heaping T ground flax seeds
1 apple sliced
Put first 3 ingredients into a bowl and mix together until combined. Start with 2 T of maple syrup and add a little bit at a time until the sweetness is to your liking.
Cut up apple and dip into caramel. This is the best ever! I make double the batch and put the rest in the refrigerator in some tuber-ware.

Last night my son decided to wake up at 4 in the morning and was throwing up every where. Poor kid. He hasn't keep anything down since and just sits on the couch saying to me that he doesn't feel good. Well throw up and I do not get along so well. If I see or hear someone vomit I start to gag. So this morning, after cleaning up Ethan's mess I could not eat a whole lot. All I could do was breath slowly to not throw up myself. So since that happened I wasn't able to make this super yummy chocolate pudding this morning but I will have to save that for another day. On a happier note I am down 2 more pounds. Yay! Been exercising like crazy and eating good.
My work out today was trying not to vomit. lol, and so far for food today I had:
Breakfast: Cutie orange
Snack: none
Lunch: a piece of whole wheat bread with a little almondaise (takes then place of mayo), avocado, and cucumbers. Plus a couple of bites of some homemade Chicken Alfredo I really wasn't suppose to have.
Snack: Home made granola
Dinner: We'll see if I can eat by then
My favorite thing to eat is a veggie sandwich so that is my recipe for today

Veggie Sandwich
2 pieces of whole wheat bread
some almondaise
avocado
red pepper
cucumber
sprouts
olives
pepper
and whatever vegetables that you want.
slice everything and put on bread. Enjoy.
This is so filling and you do not miss the meat. If you don't have almondaise (which I make my own) then I would just top it off with some olive oil and apple cider vinegar.

Diet gone Crazy
{source}
So this is Ellie. Jamie's amazing sister. jk. I am going to be writing on this blog too about my way to my goal weight. I have been on a 70% raw diet since the middle of Janurary. I have lost 23 lbs so far. It has been hard but good. I eat fruit in the morning, snack on more fruit or nuts, salad with some awesome homemade salad dressings for lunch, snack with some raw treats, or more fruit, then a steamed veggie, salad, and maybe some meat or pasta for dinner. My husband calls me a rabbit because I eat so many fruit and vegies. My fridge now looks like the produce department, and I have everyone in my house eating more fruits and veggies. When I was first taught this way of eating by Cythina Sumner, an amazing nutritionist, I thought it was crazy. Who could just eat fruit in the morning for breakfast??? How is that filling??? Well let me tell you that it has been amazing!!!! I have so much engery, sleep better, have a better attitude, and have been getting full faster. Plus fitting into my clothes better is a nice side effect. Anyway, so I just want to put how my eating has been and my work out I did and how I feel on here. I might just post some recipes too.
Today I had
Breakfast: Green smoothie, some homemade granola, plus a couple of strawberries.
Lunch: salad with tomatoes, broccoli, and avacado.
Snack: two cutie oranges.
I also worked out at home for 30 minutes doing the P90X, Kenpo. It is fun but now my arms are sore. lol.
Well here is my recipe for the day:
Green Smoothie:
These are so good for you and they load your body full of the mirco nutrients that your body needs. It is always my go to for a pick me up if I am feeling sluggish or feel like I am starting to get sick.
2 cups of water
3-4 cups of spinach (or any leafy green. I like spinach because you can't taste it as much)
1 banana
1 cup of frozen strawberries
a little bit of honey (optional)
some ice cubes
Blend all together until smooth.
I have used kale in it but the taste is a little bitter. Raspberry leaves are so good too but expensive. I haven't experimented a whole lot but I would NOT do cucumber with almond milk. I tried that and it was NASTY!
Thats it for me
Peace out
